I think the place is clean and the staff efficient. I would be happy to eat here every day. I work in food production for the navy. Pests is a part of thailand but Thai is a clean culture.
Love this place! One of the best places I have eaten at in Chiang Mai so far. Such a lovely place with so many options! The menus is incredible and caters well to gluten free and vegan. I highly recommend the pancakes.
Went for breakfast because of their vegan options. Their menu only has a few, but what they did have was great. But where they truly shine is with their bakery. They have an extensive amount of vegan bake goods from bread to pastry. My wife had one of their vegan croissants and was amazed by it's taste, in a good way. We will be going back.
One of my favorite stops in Chiangmai! Anytime I am feeling the need for a healthy western style menu this is my first choice, absolutely delicious.
Expensive and not so good, mr green is more simple and the price range is fairer. The waitress is awfull and my fruitshake was dirty water.
I think was one of the best places I ate in Chiang Mai, I loved the decoration, eating outside very chill atmosphere, the food was great, you could see it in the pictures, the juices were also very tasty I got 3 of them and the one with zuccini, lemon and honey was the best :)
The ambience is GREAT, the food can be very good, the coffee is not so good.
Beautiful atmosphere! Nice and authentic food and good drinks. You have to try it. :)
Great food, nice atmosphere.Don't forger your baked goods on the way out.
Cosy and cool setting but our meals were not the best for us. Salad was fresh but about half the size of the menu picture. Tofu that came with it was dry and solid. Soup was bland and the red Thai curry was not in the least spicy! Pastries and chocolates appears to be $$$
Very overpriced and poor quality food. Look at the photo - this is 160 baht breakfast. Staffs were busy talking, atmosphere was bad. Never again.
Came here for lunch when the place was pretty quiet and got a gorgeous view facing a little waterfall with huge fish in it, there was a lovely calming ambiance about the place and the food was good/healthy too. My favourite place in Chiang Mai so far.
My family and I have been regulars here for over 15 years. It's a busy, family run restaurant that opens early for breakfast and stays open till late evening for main meals. There is an emphasis on healthy food. Even though it's not strictly vegetarian, non meat-eaters are well catered for. They do good Western breakfasts, including yoghurt, muesli, oatmeal, pancakes, etc. It's all delicious. The bakery is also popular as is their range of spices and herbs to take out. This restaurant is popular with the young backpacking crowd and visitors on yoga/massage/trekking holidays. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed.Very highly recommended.
Blue Diamond is my favourite restaurant in Chiang Mai. It is a daytime cafe staying open into the early evening. The menu is huge. Lots of vegetarian options, organic food, big salads, Thai food, home made bread and baked goods, Meat dishes as well. Everything is superbly cooked. And there are Koi in the pond and a little waterfall. Great place.
The food is okay, specially if you are looking for a healthy breakfast because it is one of the few food places open early. That being said, the food can be a little bland. But there is a lot of stuff here besides food. Beauty products, pastries, bread, desserts, health drinks, herbs. It has a very nice homely feel to it.
I loved this place so much I nearly cried with joy from all the gluten free options! All the menu can be adapted. I had the choice of many gf Baked goods! And they were all so yummy! I don’t normally write reviews but this place did not nearly have enough glowing reviews. Beautiful garden. Fountain with Koi. Super sweet and helpful staff
Good food and drinks. The place is quite large and has a number of features like running waterfall and floor cushions to give a sense of relaxation. Unfortunately due to its the size it attracts many chatty groups of tourists and families with young kids which cancels out any ambience of serenity. There are much smaller and quieter coffee spots just along the same road which are better for solo travellers looking for a chilled place to read.
The meals in the menu are amazing! Thank you so much for this restourant. Spaghetti , herbal drinks and muffins are recommended! There are a lot of options for vegans and vegetarians. Also staff is smiling also service is fast.
Those vegan cinnamon rolls are to die for.I recommend the coconut cinnamon role with an iced coffee (huge plus for offering metal straws instead of plastic!) and to relax a little by the little pond 😊
Delicious food, great service, friendly atmosphere.
Great choice if vegan food and bakery. We loved the chair tea latte with almond milk. Drinks selection is fantastic. Great views of the river and Koi fish too.
Oh my god they have VEGAN donuts, croissants and cakes!!!My wife wanted to try everything but my I sensibly instilled calm and rationality into the mix and suggested we try 3 things and come back another day. So we had the donut and multi grain croissant which were both lovely. Start with the croissant because it isn't overly sweet more savoury and the donut is covered in sugar most of which we rubbed off. Last we had the carrot cake which was very nice but we found the frosting to be a bit disappointing, it was overly sweet and rock hard... a soft cream (not) cheese flavoured with carrot and orange is usually my preference for carrot cake. I mentioned this to the staff who were very friendly and seemed receptive to my idea for how the carrot cake could be improved by replacing the hard frosting with a cashew nut carrot and orange cream (not) cheese. Lovely all the same. We'll be back tomorrow no doubt to try a bunch more delicacies
A hidden gem..great food n service..reasonable prices.....so relaxing..incredible pond in the middle of it filled with giant goldfish....the sound of the trickling watet into the pond is magical.. ....fantastic ambience...this place ouzes charm....really superb..thanks for a wonderful evening!
I eat here frequently. There are many things to like about the place.... friendly owners and staff, a wide variety of natural soaps, teas, lotions, herbs, and much more. Many of the staff members have been working here for 10 years. It’s like a family! I frequently notice travelers taking advantage of the many cushions and free WiFi to kick back and relax. Although I live 15 kilometers away I still ride in frequently for their breakfast. Oh, they also have 2 drinking water stations with glasses so you don’t have to rely on plastic bottles. The portions are a good size.
What an interesting place. A fusion of food, groceries, organics, and fresh veggies. Beautiful jungle/garden atmosphere. A great place to come by if you’re in the area.
Would highly reccomend for the food, a massive menu and decent portions but if you would like something local then go for the Khao Soi. The only thing that let's the place down is the staff. Last night the lady serving wasn't exactly all smiles and was on her phone a lot and the table next to us had to stand up and go to her to be served (this happened twice!!) And went back today as food was so good and got a hello from the people at the bakery but as we walked through past waiters not even a smile or a hello. Just not great customer service. They all look like they don't want to be there to serve people!!
We had two omelettes, garlic and basil which was to die for, and avocado omelette. The coffee is not a dark enough roast for my liking. Always nice people though
I love the outdoor seating space. It's so cozy and relaxed. Food is great! Healthy meals with meat options for those who want. Generous helpings too.
Excellent food. Big portions. Organic. Great ambiance. Good service. Very friendly.
Good food and setting but service didn't match the price point.
I honestly don’t know what all of the fuss is about. I’ve been here a few times and found the food to be mediocre (overcooked vegetables and omelet)and the service to be painfully slow and wooden. Full of loud tourists and people having conference calls. There are better places in the area.
Simply the best vegan restaurant in Chiang Mai! Great food with super homey ambiance with relatively affordable price. Large selection of menu (i usually spent up to 15mins looking at the menu before deciding because everything just looks good), and yes, they also have non-vegetarian add-ons.Oh not to mention the pastries (drool-worthy!!). Love the blueberry muffin and the lemon bar!
I cannot get enough of this place. Pretty much came here at least once every day since we found it. My favorites are their Thai iced teas, fruit shakes, bruschetta, and muffins. The ambiance is amazing and it feels very clean and peaceful. The owner is very sweet and is usually the one to check you out.
A Hidden paradise! Many natural products, a lot of gluten free options, probiotics and more.
Awesome chill little place. Foods great. Vegan avacodo mayo is epic.
Prices on the high side, but the food was good. The pond and garden were really nice.
Yummy vegan pastries for breakfast! Easy to take to go or eat in their charming garden patio. As vegans we typically have a hard time with breakfast foods so it was so nice to have a variety of muffins and pastries!
Wholesome food and drinks. Great for people that like clean eating. Generous portion sizes and prompt service once ordered. Very friendly staff and I love the outdoor setting.
exciting menu, nice interior and garden, nice staff and very decent prices.can certainly be recommended to anyone who enjoys some alternative food.not easy to park a car in the area.
Always nice 👍🏼 A lot of healthy food like this one in my pic. Forgot the name of the dish but it’s so good 😊
Vegan goodness! Only the most amazing vegan treats you can imagine. Vegan Chocolates, cakes, nut breads, crumbles etc. Watch out for your waistline!!
Great food. Good variety. Efficient service & the atmosphere is great.
The best and biggest selection of vegan pastries and cakes, beautiful garden-like open space, and all kinds of food.
Atmosphere is five star sitting by the waterfall with Koi swimming about shaded by many trees. Fab. Food is pricey but suits the western pallet. Bakery has a vast selection but beware the old baked goods. Many items sit a long time and could use a good shot of Botox. Sweets and chocolates inside refrigerated glass display is a better bet. Chiang Mai has oodles of hipster places offering morning yogurt & muesli at more reasonable prices. Blue Diamond has succumbed to their own success and cuts corners to squeeze out a few extra baht per patron. Proportions are smaller and out of season fruit requires an extra large dip into your wallet. EatDrinkChillllllllllllllll
This place comes in clutch when you need a good hearty breakfast, or a delicious lunch. If you're plant based then that's even better because they've got you taken care of. Try the Vegan Donuts!
The food was really tasty and the place really nice. It was good quantity for a reasonable price, a little higher than the average. We would definitely go back and try some if their handmade cookies or bread.
I can‘t understand the hype and all the „must visit“ statements here. In fact, the garden outside is nice but the food is just mediocre. Given the high price level it was quite a disappointing experience. Nothing here you won‘t find anywhere else in Chiang Mai.
During a recent stay in Chiang Mai I had breakfast at Blue Diamond at least 5 times. All dishes were delicious and staff were great.I loved the location & found it very restful, I would highly recommend it.
[Please "like" if you find this review helpful]Delightfully delicious, fresh baked goods and ingredients. Healthy, clean food, yummy coffee/tea/juices.Chill vibe... Lounge, sip, eat, socialize. A bit pricey, but not unreasonable for the quality.
The place may be nice and serve nice food. However, the owner is rude. She gives you a smirk if she thinks you ordered too little.
Wonderful healthy food with an incredible range of tasty gluten-free options. One star minus because whilst the owner is very amicable, the service staff can be a bit unfriendly (no smiles etc) and prices are elevated
